Community Council Minutes
March 5, 2025

Those in attendance: Arleen Jensen, Marci Childs, Melissa Christensen, Jess Jackman, Lisa Anderson, Elise Bown and Jodi Hansen
- Welcome new members
- Member Responsibilities - Members were asked to watch the training videos on their own time. More videos will be sent as they become available.
- Election of Officers- Jess Nominated Lisa for Chairperson, Marci Seconded. Jess Volunteered for Vice Chairperson and Lisa Seconded. Made updates to the phone and email list and decided on meeting dates.
- Rules and Procedures - read through the binder. New rules of order and procedure were added. Council members need to review and vote on adopting them next meeting.
- Funding - Went over the trustlands budget. It may need to be amended for the (BTSA) Art deficit - Arleen will talk to Jake.
- Acadience/RISE Data - Reviewed prior years. Goal is 70% at level or above for Math and 80% or above for Reading. 57.7% of third graders read on or above grade level right now.
- Trustlands Plan- Reviewed - no questions
- TSSA Plan - Reviewed - No questions
- Safe Technology and digital citizenship - we will discuss in November
- Safety Principles and Reunification plan - Discuss in November
- Wellness policy - read and discuss in November
- Student Leadership
Blue Crew
Kindness Patrol - every Wednesday - should include every student each year
Gives kids more leadership opportunities, teaches them to say good morning, gives
Some extra positive interaction opportunities.
- PIC - Pizza delivery this week, Red Ribbon Week
- Halloween / Christmas - Halloween parade @ 9 am - bad weather will be cancelled. Christmas Program is December 8
- Questions/Concerns - None. Handed out the child access routing plan for members to read for next time.
